Very soon after arriving in Kenya we saw a need for discipleship among believers. We started one MasterLife class in August of 2012, which quickly split into 2 classes. Since then, over 100 people have started formal discipleship, and slightly more than 50 have "graduated," and are now capable of teaching discipleship.
Currently, we have a weekly class meeting at Christ the King Baptist Church in Malindi and a "Train the Trainers" class in a rural church association north of Malindi, where we are not able to hold formal classes due to geography. Seventeen churches have selected 2 leaders to go through Train the Trainer, and those will bring discipleship into their churches.
