If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
In discussing overcoming pride in the book Praying God's Word, Beth Moore says, "The most effective means the enemy has to keep believers from being full of the Spirit is to keep us full of ourselves." How true! Pray that we will be filled with the Spirit rather than self. Pray that we will "put on...humility" (Colossians 3:12), and ask God for wisdom (James 1:5) in doing our job here, not relying on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
