praying for missions {week 38}

Matthew 9:36-38
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

We always pray that God will bring people he wants to be involved in Maisha Kamili. There are so many ways people can be involved: as prayer partners, as advocates in churches, as financial partners, as volunteers in the US and in Kenya, as employees in Kenya (when it is time to hire someone else). We pray that God brings his people into place in Maisha Kamili.

From a broader perspective, we also pray that the churches we are part of (both in the US and in Kenya) will be/continue to be/become concerned with sending out missionaries: local, national, and international, vocational and volunteers, short term and long term. And we ask and encourage you to do the same for your churches.
