praying for missions {week 44}

October 29
Matthew 25:35-36
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Thank you Father God, for offering your son to us as an example of the righteous. Help us to be like you, as a comforter to the lonely children. Bless us with the ability to feed, clothe and teach the abandoned brothers and sisters all around us.

October 30
John 10:27-30
‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.’
For some lost children they have never spent time with their father. The name father could mean anything from pointless, to vanished, to abusive. Pray that the children get to know there Heavenly Father. Until then, let them know your warm embrace.

October 31
Romans 12:11-13
‘Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.’
Be joyful and generous with what God has provided for you. Through Jesus’ sacrifice you have become a “chosen one.” Give that gift to others in any way possible. Pray for the chosen.

November 1
John 14:23-24
‘Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.”
I pray that as we build the future facilities on the Maisha Kamili property the word of God will be taught and obeyed. The goal of the family in the group homes will combine house parents with orphan children to be like the close relationship of Jesus’ words and those of his Father. Obedience is linked to love.

November 2
Jeremiah 29:12-13
‘Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’
We pray that together, we will seek the Lord. We pray that people from all over the world will pray for you and your brothers and sisters to find peace and happiness with each other and that each of you will repent before God and accept his forgiveness. Seek Him and he will show you his love.
