praying for missions {week 51}

Isaiah 7:10-14
10 Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, 11 “Ask a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.” 12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test.” 13 And he said, “Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Romans 5:8 and John 3:16 tell us that God sent Jesus to Earth because of his love for us. Christmas is about God's love. In John 10:10 Jesus said that he came to give abundant life. Because of God's love for us, he sent Jesus, that we may have abundant, full life. We carry the message of Christ with us that the MKKs and those adults in discipleship classes may also receive abundant life. Pray that more people we come into contact with will see in us God's love and the abundant life Christ offers. Pray that they will also give their lives to Christ, not just for salvation, but so to deny themselves, take up their crosses daily, and follow him, bearing much fruit, to the glory of God the Father. (Luke 9:23 and John 15:8)
